Photography Session with Kathy Ager

In September we had an amazing portrait session with artist Kathy Ager. The Amsterdam based painter, originally from Canada, is spending the next two months in Portugal to concentrate on her paintings. She came to the shoot with a lot of energy and ideas. We had a great time shooting with her. Kathy’s current body of work is quite introspective and focuses on rawness – both physically and emotionally – in everyday life. We wanted these photos to capture her energy but also relate visually to her work. We did this by going for high contrast images. The results are beautiful and diverse. A very artistic and inspiring portrait session.
