10 years of Hands-on Photography Workshops in Amsterdam and more to come.

Who knew when I started teaching photography in the darkroom at Syracuse University, it would lead to hosting photography workshops in Amsterdam! It’s been 10 years since I moved to Amsterdam from New York.  10 years since I was invited by my friend Leonie to create a hands-on photography course to teach people how to use their camera.

I started teaching every Photography Basics courses myself and now we have grown to a team of 7!  I have a great team that has enabled us to teach so many more people than I could have done on my own.  We are still evolving and 2019 offers more workshops than any previous year including the new workshop “Natural Light Portraits” for those interested in creating portraits using light modifiers.  Other classes include Fearless Street Photography, The Art of Portfolio Creation and of course The Photography Basics.

I have a great production team and am beyond grateful for all the interesting people we’ve gotten to work with over the past 10 years. The business started out with me sharing my work and teaching but now we are a team. I envision us moving the focus more towards becoming a community, sharing more work from the teachers as well as from the students.

Check outThe next Fearless Street Photography Workshop is coming July 13th.  Plus, our fall course line-up including Photography Basics, The Art of Portfolio Creation, and Natural Light Portraits.
