Photography from 1,000 Drawings Event, 2012 Amsterdam
When I was asked to photograph 1,000 Drawings, 2012 Amsterdam Event, I was excited to participate in an art event for charity.
This event was beyond what I could have imagined. It turned out to be what I can only describe as a “Creative Free for All!” There were the great drawings being sold for charity of course. But, there were also a massive amount of musicians, painters, photographers and interactive activities. At one point I photographed a man painting on a wall, behind musicians performing, who were being painted while they were performing and then being photographed (see below)… Ridiculously fun to have so many people involved in an event.

My follow-up to Artistic Pregnancy Portraits
This little guy is my God-son Johan, I took this photo on a recent trip to Switzerland where I met him for the first time.. His mommy and I did a pregnancy portrait session before he was born. Since then, we have been skyping weekly so I can see him grow. I started taking screen-shots of him during our video talks. This way, I had a photo to look at during the week when I missed him… What is it about photos of baby’s that makes you just keep looking at them?

After 6 weeks, I put all my screen shots together in a small photo-strip format simliar to what you get from a photo booth. I’m calling it baby-booth! I put some old film effects on the photo and ended up with a nice addition to his baby book showing how he changed over the first two months of his life…

Last weekend we had a short trip in East Holland with a VW Bus. The words that best express this trip are curiousity, exploration, discovery, and fustration

Airfashion Photoshoot Inspired by The Host
I just finished reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer and I’m in love, such a great book! Here is a recent shoot I did for Airfashion. The editing was inspired by alien souls taking over human bodies and living on earth.

Fashion Photoshoot

Recent Studio work. I like the way the hair adds mystery in this image and of course the pose is killer.
Model – Hung Chan.
Studio or Environmental Shots?
When viewing photos, are you usually more attracted to studio photos (plain background) or shots in an environment of some kind? I’ve enjoyed shooting in the studio this winter but still prefer environmental portraits, I find them more interesting. What do you think? The studio also has a draw of some kind..

Studio Portrait from this week.
