Portrait Photography

Armed with a bag of props including sunglasses, a hat and some other things I found laying around the house, I attended “MixTup Market Three” with a goal. To take photos of people based on Ok Cupid’s research listed in the article “don’t be ugly on accident”.

Ok Cupid conducted research and concluded that images with low quality light and images taken with a low quality camera (ie. cell phone photos) actually cause people to be perceived less attractive. The article also listed qualities that cause people to be perceived as more attractive like shallow depth of field and natural lighting. So, I took out my SLR, and set out to a blind experiment with these findings to make my MixTup Market Victims look their best in my portrait photography.
