I believe photographs are the most valuable material items, irreplaceable…  My goal is, for my images to not only be beautiful but communicate a story.

My shoots are done on location.  I strive to create a fun and relaxed environment when shooting.  I especially enjoy shooting outdoors in parks or gardens and also doing environmental portraits of people in their own surrounding…  at work, at play or home.

Experience

Megan Alter photography provides services for fashion, corporates, and individuals, as well as offering courses and workshops.

Megan Alter taught in photography darkrooms and digital labs for 4 years while studying design and photography at Syracuse University. After college she worked as a designer in New York for 6 years while continuing her study of Art Photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York.   In 2008, she moved to Amsterdam in the Netherlands where she started Megan Alter Photography.

Clients are diverse from global companies such as Optiver, U.S. national chains including Wal-Mart and Target, but also local Amsterdam businesses such as MixTup Records.
